MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING.

The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Football Association, held last evening, was presided over by Mr. A. E. Wells.

In a.match played between St. David's and Institute two Saturdays ago, a lad was reported to have used bad language. The boy attended, and denied the offence. . -The matter was held over till next week so as to allow the boy to bring evidence in support of his case. . Another Institute player was reported to have used bad language, but the matter^ was held over in order that the boy might attend and give an explanation.

The following clubs have entered teams for the Henderson, Memorial, and Charity Cups :—lnstitute 11, V.M.C.A. 7, Marist 2, Karori 3, Johnsonville 1. Mr. Marchant (Seatoun Club) notified that owing to business matters he would be compelled to relinquish his duties in connection with the Seatoun Club. A letter is to be sent to Mr. Marchant acknowledging the keen interest evinced by him in Association football matters.

Messrs. Thomas, Spolsky, and Abel have been appointed selectors of a third grade team which is to play a representative Canterbury team at Christchurch on 7th September. The game will be a "curtain-raiser" to the Brown Shield match.

,On Friday afternoon a school team from Martinborough will play a representative school team of Wellington North boys, and on Saturday morning the visitors will meet a team selected from boys playing for Wellington South. Mr. Smith will 1; referee the game on Friday, and Mr. Josephs will control the match on Saturday morning. The following boys comprise the South District team :—Barton, Keohe, Quirk and Condor (Marist), Booth and Bolt (South Wellington), Ferkins and M'Nichol (Island Bay), Murie, Davidson, and Shackleton (Worser Bay). The Third Division Cup competitions commence on Saturday, 17th August. On Saturday, 24th'August, a match will be played between senior and third grade teams with the object of selecting a team to represent Wellington against Canterbury for the Brown Shield match.
