RED CROSS COPPER TRAIL
The biggest jumble sale that Wellington has ever witnessed will be held in the Town Hall on Friday and Saturday, the 2nd and 3rd of August. It is being organised by Mrs. E. C. Adams and Mrs, Arthur Myers. All loyal Wellingtonians are cordially invited to "do their bit" in the Copper Trail Battle, by contributing goods and articles for disposal at the Giant Jumble Sale. Anything and everything will be gladly accepted and converted into coppers for the trail—hats, coats, boots, furniture, clocks, watches," china, rugs, books, music, motor-care, aeroplanes or tanks— all are alike to the organisers of the jumble sale. All goods should be delivered to the Town Hall by the Ist August. The Bed Cross Depot, Lambtonquay, will also receive articles destined for the furthering of the "long, long trail" in the direction of Auckland. As the Northern City has gained a formidable lead over Wellington, Mrs. Arthur Myers and Mrs. Adams are determined that the jumble sale shall assist materially in this position of affairs being reversed.
