1 , '■•••■=• LONDON, 22nd July. Attacks and counter-attacks continue fiercely. It is estimated 1 thatthe Germans have half a million troops on fifty miles of front. Six new divisions have been identified between the A.isne and the Marne, making twenty-one in this iarea. The Germans made a strong push at Grisples, and advanced'half a mile. The British divisions operating south-west of Reims' have captured five hundred guns (?). The French captured forty-five guns and four.hundred machine-guns south of the Marne. The French and Americans continue to attack vigorously between the Ourcq and ttfo Marne. Yon Mackensen's Chief of Staff (Genera! Hell) and other of Yon ftlackensen's officers are directing the operations between the Ourcq and the Aisne, but it is not believed that Yon Mackensen himself is present, Prince Rupprecht's group is estimated at seventy divisions, most of them fresh.
