Some little time ago Mr. S. E. M'Carthy, S.M., delivered judgment in. regard to the liability of men classified C 2 in the matter of attending territorial parades, | and held that such men were .exempt by reason of their classification from the parades. A young man, Harold L. Esau, seeing the judgment published! in the daily papers, considered that as he had I been classified C 2, the exemption applied equally to himself, and consequently attended no more parades. The Defence authorities this morning took action against Esau at the Magistrate's Court for failing to attend territorial parades^ but in accordance with his previous decision, Mr. S. E.
