LONDON, 18th July. The apeal of Edward Yeates, an exofficer in the New Zealand Forces, against his conviction in December for illegally wearing uniform, was dismissed, with costs; but on Yeates's undertaking not to wear the uniform the penalty was reduced to one shilling. Sir Joseph Ward and Sir Thomas Mackenzie gave evidence.
