The remainder of the escapees from Featherston Camp—Privates Peters, Saunders, and Costigan—have now been apprehended by the military police. Two of the five, men who escaped on Saturday were retaken the same day, but tha others enjoyed a few.more days of liberty. For desertion and .loss of equipment, Saunders is sentenced to 180 days' detention and stoppages of pay amounting to £3 18s 9d, and Costigan to 120 days', detention and stoppages amounting to £3 16s lOd.
