LAND SALE AT SHANNON

At Shannon on the 17th inst. the estate of the late G. N. Wood, comprising 821 acres, was offered by public auction by Messrs. Abraham aiid Williams, Ltd., and thet'e' was aii attendance of quite three, hundred people. : Mr. J. H. Hankins, solicitor for the restate, read the conditions of sale, and then Mr. 0. H. Porrifct, auctioneer, took charge. Bidding was particularly spirited throughout, and every section was sold under the hammer.
