The Masterton Borough Council has decided to "receive".a letter from the Gisborne Borough Council, recommending more vigorous steps for the internment of alien subjects. , The general manager of the State Fire Insurance Department has .idvised the Masterton Borough Council that he will be pleased to confer with representatives of the citizens of Masterton in reference to fire insurance matters. There are at present 1759 consumers of gas in Masterton.
