MEETING OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE.

At the weekly meeting of the Management Committee oi the Wellington Football Association last evening-, Mr. A. E. Wells presided. With regard to the alleged use of bad language by a member of an Institute team, tho captain of the team attended, and explained that the offender was not a. member of the tea.m. but a stranger, who had been granted the- right to play for'that particular game. It was resolved to sand, a warning to the Institute. The management of the Crown Theatre is to be approached with regard to giving a picture entertainment, half of the proceeds to go towards tho funds of theassociation. Marist E team hold that Marist Thorndon C team have been playing one of their members over ai;e. On these grounds, Marist E declare that two matches played against Marist Thorndon C team should bo declared void.-"-The matter was hokl over. The New Zealand Football Association acknowledged the challenge to the Canterbury Association for tho Brown Shield by the Wellington Football Association. Some time ago a complaint was lodged by a V.M.C.A. team that in ft match played between Y.M. C.A. and Kelburn, owing to the late arrival of the referee the V.M.C.A. team were obliged to wlay .under adverse circumstances. The Kelburn Club notified that it considered the match could conveniently be replayed. The question was bold, oi'er. The Swimming Committee reported that it is expected to hold a swimming carnival some time in. September.
