(PUBLISHED IN THE TIMES.) (Received July 17, 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, 16th July. * The Times says : ''We are witnessing
the beginning of an enterprise which will ultimately surpass in magnitude the previous greatest battles. It can be assumed that the enemy hopes to l-each within effective bombarding range of Paris. We are convinced that General Foch and the French Army will effectively counter the menace."
