THE NEW GERMAN OFFENSIVE IN THE CHAMPAGNE. The enemy has begun a new offensive. The reports so far received show that the front of attack extends from Chateau Thierry for sonic fifty miles .eastward! In the above map the hatched area is that iron by. the Crown Prince's last, offensive. The new battle, has begun on the south', eastern side of this area, and extends alone the old front, (shown by the line of crosses) beyond Reims for a distance of about twenty miles, to the neighbourhood of the Suippe River. The Americans in this'jwt of' France have'been for some veeks in positions near Chateau Thierry.
