DURAZZO THREATENED
MENACE TO AUSTRIAN NAVY

Italian military advices state that the fall of Berat endangers Durazzo, one of the principal Austrian submarine bases in the Adriatic. If the Italians cross the Skumbi they will be within striking distance'of Durazzo, and simultaneously the FrencE will be threatening El BassSa. It is expected that the Germans will rush reinforcemeritß to Albania if they believe Durazzo to be endangered, as its capture would probably drive the Austrian fleet into the Northern Adriatic
