THE LARKIN BROTHERS.
The findings of the district courtmaitials held at Trentham Camp on Bth Julyj to try the Larltin.'. brothers, are now promulgated as follow :— Pte. J. LafMn, .Details, (late, 31at ; found guilty of (1) Deserting His Majesty's Service; (2) when in confinement, escaping; (3) deserting His iMajesty'fi Service; (4) losing by neglect his equipment, clothing, and regimental necessaries. Sentenced to detention for 180 days; stoppages, £8 5s sd. •
Pte. R. E. Larkin, Details (late 31st Reinforcemeiits}; found guilty on a similar charge. Sentenced to detention for 180 days; stoppages to' pay for deficiencies in kit amounting to £3 7s lid 'Jn each case the sentence is mitigated so that if Ihe accused embarks for active service outeide of New Zealand, then upon arrival at the final poifc of disembarkation, the unezpired portion (if any) of his sentence shall*be lemitted
