In the House of Commons, at the report stage of tho financial resolution, dealing with expeneee under tho Emigration Bill, Mr. W. S, A. Hewins (Under-Secretary for the Colonies) proposed the limitation of expenditure to £50,000 yearly. The proposal wa6 agreed to.
