A GENTLE COMMANDER

LONDON, 12th June. Seventeen fishing boats were sunk off the coast of Down on 31st May.
The submarine commander ordered the crews to take to the boats. Some remonstrated, and the commander replied : "No parleying. Get, or you go to hell." The commander shot a man through the arm.
