IRISH VOLUNTEERS
THE LAND GRANT.
LONDON, 11th June. Replying in the House of Commons to questions regarding Viscount French's proclamation promising volunteer recruits land, Mr. A. W. Samuels, Irish Attorney-General, said that the Irish I/and Purchase Act would be amended to enable all Irish soldiers to have the same privileges of purchase of untenanted land as the existing holders. The British Act assisting soldiers to secure land also applied to Ireland.
