"THE BOHEMIAN GIRL."
The booking for BaJfe's grand opera, "Ihe Bohemian Girl," which is to be performed at the Town Hall to-night, is said to bo" very heavy. The Opera is to be performed by the Royal Choral Union, with a, chorus and orchestra of 250 performers, ,under the baton of Mr. Robert Parker. Last evening the society chorus and_ orchestra went through the opera. Their l-esponse to the finer points of music showed that Mr. Parker's coaching has given them an artistic conception, of the great work. The soloists will iriclude Miss Helen Gardner, of Dunedin; Mr. Ernest Drake, of Auckland; Mrs. A. E. Burge, and Messrs. Charles Moore and Ben. O'Connor. The box plan will remain open at the Bristol till. 5 o'clock to-night.
