ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING
The weekly meeting of the Manage* ment Cctminitt.ee of the Wellington Football Association was held last evening. Present: Messrs. A. E. Welis (chairman), B. Hill, C. Ward, H. Yeoman, W. Auld, A. Williams, Webster, and A. E. Smith.
As the outcome of a deputation which interviewed the Reserves Committee to urge upon the committee that permission be given to .play "double-bank" matches upon city reserves, a letter was received that the request had been acceded to on the understanding that no games be played after the first Saturday in September.
The vexatious question oi despatching teams to Porirua, so that all concerned should be satisfied, once again held the attention of the committee. A suggestion was submitted that the town team should leave by the 1.20 train, prepare f»r the match en route, and that on reaching Porirua a conveyance shouW be waiting to take them to the ground and thus allow the game to be finisho" in good time. It was decided to gi\i the proposal a trial. •The Fixtures Committee complains' that since the commencement of pi*., no fewer tlia.n {our sets oi! future tab!l: have had to be, drawn up, owing V transfers and withdrawals of teams. I: also stated that since the inception of the senior competitions a shortage oi referees had been experienced. Permission was granted to the Poriru.i Club to meet a team from the Otaki Native College. Upon application, Wadestown tth A grade team have been placed in the 4 B A division, and St. Thomas's 6 A team in 6 B grade.
