VICTORIA COLLEGE
MEETING OF THE COUNCIL
The Victoria College Council met last evening, when there were present : Mr. C. Watson (in the chair), fitm. A. T. Maghmity, Rev. W. A.- Evans, -Professors Giarrow and Hunter, Messi'a.' P. H. Bakewell, B. M'Callum, M.P., P. Levi, W. La Trobe, and R. A.' Wright, M.P. It was reported by the treasurer and registrar that the sum of £500 had, by the council's direction, been withdrawn from the trust account, in the Bank, of New Zealand and invested in Wai' Loan debentures. ■ , . ■ ■
