Among the prominent exhibitors of motor vehicles at the Masterton Show was the recently-incorporated company known as the Wairarapa Combined Motors, Ltd. This business was formerly owned by Mr. E. j. Eastwood, who is managing director of the new concern, and in order to< cope with the new condition of affairs the adjoining garage, formerly conducted by J. H. Lyttie, has also Keen taken over, with the result that there is now at the disposal of shareholders, and the public generally, one of if not the largest motor garages in New Zealand. The garage devoted to the storage^ of cars measures 170 ft long by 60ft wide, which will comfortably accommodate 100 cars, while the workshop, wliere ten competent motor engineers are kept busily employed, measures 86ffc by 60ft, and is equipped with all latest appliances, including three pits, overhead travelling- cranes, a.nd a complete electrical plant for recharging of accumulators on the contiguous system, which is the only one in the Wairarapa. Repairing and recharging of accumulatora is therefore specialised. The garage is open daily from 7.30 a.m. to 11.30 p.m., and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Full stocks of 'tires of all brands, tubes,. benzine, oils, and other accessories, are stocked in large quantities. The company exhibited at the Show the Oldsmobile car. A number of these are coming to hand' at the end of the present month, and those desiring a reliable, well-balanced, economical car are specially asked to inspect this motor before buying elsewhere. The number of prominent local motorists who are shareholders in this business is a clear indication of its great success. Mr. C. 0.
