MOTION OF PROTEST.

WANGANUI, 19th February. The Wanganui executive of the Protestant Political Association passed a new motion of protest against the assault on two clergymen following their participation it a meeting to form a branch of the association in Fe'ilding, and demanding that the Government bring the perpetrators to justice, and take such action as will effectively end the attempt by those opposed to the association to terrorise any actively engaged in the association, and to safeguard the inalienable right of all to free speech.
