A largely-attended meeting in the Municipal Theatre to-night, called to discuss the alien question, passed a motion calling on the Government to remove from idleness' all those of German or Austrian blood, and to remove officials of the same nationality from Government positions, and ■calling upon, the Government to intern all pure blopd Germans and Austrians, without any exception Syhatever, during the period of the war, a.nd to utilise the services of such enemy aliens in a. manner which' will return a value to the State, and supporting the future definitio.n of a natural-born British subject as a, person jvhose. father was at the time pf, such person's birth a British subject.
