POLICE BARRACKS ATTACKED

A large band of Sinn Feiners, armed with gelignite bombs, attacked the Drimoleague (County Cork) Police Barracks.. One bomb was thrown into a, sergeant's bedrooui; and exploded with terrific force.

Thirty-five disguised Sinn Feiners, on bicycles, raided an aerodrome on Saturday night, and aimed a revolver at the watchman while they, etole all the papers and plans.

The Irisli Fellowship Club, of Chicago, the largest Irish organisation in Chicago, adopted in December a declaration of principles supporting the Irish Parliamentary Party, and stating that any Irishman or organisation which seeks to embarrass any of the Allied Powers in its conduct of the war is committing an act. of open hostility to the United States.

The declaration is addressed to Mr. John Redmond. It was announced at the same time that the club is forwarding the first instalment of 10,000 dollars towards the fund which is being collected on behalf of the Irish Parliamentary Party. The declaration will be: submitted to all the Irish organisations 1 throughput the country, and it is understood thai it will be ultimately forwarded to Ireland as a concrete expression of support in the war by people of Irish descent in America. There is not a single honest and genuine IrishAmerican who does not stand) behind the President and the policy of the Ameri. can Government, Loyal as we have been to the cause of Irish liberty, we must tell the Irish that we will not, and' cannot, retain sympathy for an- Ireland that makes war on our beloved country and her sons " , ' ■
