WASHINGTON, 18th February.
The Secretary for the Treasury (Mr. W. G. M'Adoo) has issued a statement which shows that the expenditure for the last half-year included: For'the army, 1,762,000,000 dollars; navy, 550,000,000; shipping board, 169,000,000.
