LONDON, 17th February. The week's meat supplies at Smithfield market are equal to a pound a, head for London.

[The Food Minister's meat rationing scheme for the London and Home Counties provides for the use of meat cards bearing four coupons, each of which enables the holder to purchase during the week fiyepence worth of uncooked meat; or alternatively, uncooked poultry, game, or horseflesh ranging from five to twelve and a-half ounces, according' to the description; or, alternatively, three ounces of boneless or four ounces of uncooked' ham or bacon with, bone;. or, alternatively, . six to eight ounces. of uncooked sausages, according to the meat contents; or, alternatively, any of the foregoing in a cooked, or canned state, or as sandwiches or meat-pies between 2£ and 4 ounces. In public eating houses the keepers will collect coupons in respect to meals served.]
