SHORTT'S THEATRE.
Francis X. Bushman has , in "The Adopted Son," now showing at Shortfs Theatre, a part which affords him the greatest scope for his skill and power as an actor. As "Two-gun" Carter, he is required to display great strength and skill in gun-play. The character of Marion Conover is charmingly portrayed by Miss Beverley Bayne.
Malini the Magician concluded his Wellington season at the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall on Saturday night, before a crowded audience. Malini, at tlie conclusion of his entertainment, stated that, lie would return to Wellington a few months hence, 'an announcement that was received with loud applause. He leaves for Auckland tomorrow.
