EFFECT OF THE WAR.

' SYDNEY, This Day. Giving evidence before the Commodities Commission, which is enquiring into prices of dairy products, the managei oi the Dairy,. Farmers' Milk Company stated that cows now-cost up to £30 each, against a cost of £8 to: £10 each before the war. The cost of production of milk before the war was sixpence per gallon; it was now ninepence to tenpence per gallon. .
