Its arrogant claims are intended to deceive the ,world in regard to Germany's real weakness and desire for peace. Count Czer•nin'a statement is interpreted as meaning that Germany cannot rely on Austria's support in a war of conquest. The speeches make peace •■more remote.; America adheres absolutely, to President Wilson's jvar aims.
