The Assessment Comt consisting of Mr. Eawson, S.M., Mr. Campbell, representing the Government, and Mr. Tamm'adge,' the Borough Solicitor, sat for three days, and the sitting closed' yesterday. The main street was divided into three areas. The northern end was reduced by 10 per cent., rhe second area by 12 per cent., the -outhern end by 15 per cent., while farm lands in the bcrough were considerably reduced. Two hundred and twenty-eight objections were lodged out of 848 assessments and 119 persons failed to support their objections. Eight per cent, if the objections heard were reduced.
