Algerians are selling, up to 3s. Tho purchase of tho new barley crop has commenced, and several sales of prime malting have taken place at up to 5s 9d at country stations. The barley is of good quality, and so' far mostly of good colour. • There is practically no old oat-sheaf chart now offering, and naw chaff is worth £4 at country stations for immediate delivery. Thero have been offers of £3 10s for forward delivery, but growers aro not yet prepared to accept that figure.
