most comprehensive description, and its wide range ii literature illustrates the enormous development which the profession has attained within a few. years, and is also further proof—if any were needed that the Levin district is a remarkably good business centre. Mr. Aitkens' establishment is regarded by the juvenile community as the local home of Father Christmas, so much so that to accommodate his stocks of. toys, etc., and provide a necessary display, he has always to secure an additional shop at Christmas time. A splendid mail order service is maintained, goods being forwarded to any address, white a speciality is made in the supply of all requirements to school committees. ■ Mr. Aitken is certainly a very pushing, and energetic businessman, and following his usual custom, he will make a big display at the Levin Show next Wednesday, his stand there is usually the centre of much interest, and the attention of visitors to the show is directed to the fact that this year's will be specially entertaining, and profitable to callers. The following ' are a few of Mr. Aitken's agencies : "Beggs Pianos," Waterman and Swan Fountain Pens, Meccano, Perhodelle, thn famous Pathephone, .and- the Sonora Talking Machines, etc., etc. Aitken's is the place for magazines, every one under the sun is stocked, and he is also agent, for New Zealand weekly papers, Wellington and Palmerston North dailies. Mr. Aitken is a member of a well-known Wellington family, who zs bookselkvs, are well-known throughout New Z inland. He is a member of the Levin Borough Council Mid takes a keen imprest in the affairs of the town.
