QUEEN'S THEATRE.
A splendid example of what the camera can do when filming a thrilling drama is shown with the new programme at the Queen's Theatre to-day. The star subject is "The Showdown." Love interest there' is in abundance—not alone that centreing about affection between man and woman, but of the bond that, subsists between men. The characters are society people who, while travelling on a Cunard liner, are forced to take to the boats through the vessel being torpedoed. They land on an uninhabited island, and .the primitive lives they are compelled to live bring out the real men and women they are. Tho supporting programme is well chosen. The star subject is shown at 11 a.m., 1, 5, 7, and 9 p.m.
