MAN-POWER BILL
STRIKE ON THE CLYDE THREATENED.
LONDON, 14th January.
A conference of the Clyde committees of the Engineering and Shipbuilding Federation met at Glasgow and considered the new man-power proposals. It was resolved to instruct the executive council to request, the Government to withdraw the new Man-Power Bill before the end of January. Failing this, they would asjs ths Clyde members to down tools. The conference also asked the Government to call an international conference to discuss peace. . ' .
