FROZEN MEAT TRADE
EECOMMENDATIONS FROM TARANAKI. (»I TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) HAWERA, 3rd November. This morning the committee of the Taranaki provincial executive of the Farmers' Union met a number of gentlemen interested in the frozen meat trade. The following resolution waa carried :—"That the Government be requested to arrange with the Imperial Government for all meat purchases on hooks, as all fanners' co-operative freezing companies are being very seriously financially inconvenienced through the long delay in settlements caused by the present system of payment, jf.o.b." "That it be a recommendation to the Government that all' beef should be .boned up before shipment in order to save shipping space, and also to conserve bones for use in New Zealand."
