PENALTIES FOR DESERTION,
In Tventham Camp orders it is announced that the following sentences by District Courts-martial have been confirmed :— .
45612 Pte. R. R. Newport, Trentham Details (G C 0.,. 25th Reinforcements), found guilty of deserting His Majesty's service. Sentenced to 112 days' detention.
59883 Pte. M. J. Fatal, Trentham Details (E Co., 30th Reinforcements), found guilty of (1) deserting His Majesty's service ; and (2) losing by neglect his equipi ment, clothing, and regimental necessaries. Sentenced to 84 days' detention, and to stoppages to pay for deficiencies in kit amounting to £5 13s 4d. 60115 Pte. J. R. Hartland, Trentham Details (A Co., 30th Reinforcements), found guilty of when on active service deserting His Majesty's service. Sentenced to 84 days' detention. "
