WELSH COAL TROUBLE
80 PER CENT. OF THE PITS IDLE. LONDON, Ist November. Owing to an examiners' strike, over 80 per cent, of the Welsh pits are idle. The examiners have refused the owners' conditional oifer to recognise the Examiners' Union. , . Early returns of the miners', ballot in | South Wales indicate that an overwhelming majority is against the strike over the combing-out proposals.
