CIVIL ACTIONS
In the Magistrate's Court to-day Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., gave judgment for plaintiff by default in the following undefended civil actions: —Hotel Workers' Union v. Charles Groves, £2 8s 6d, cost* ss; 'W. S. Thompson and Co. v. Frank Calver, £3 8s lOd, costs 12s; Trustees of the Estate of the late John Norton v. (i. i Taylor, £3 Is, costs 13s. In it judgment summons case T. A'nrferson was ordered to pay Herb. Price the sum of £1 lls 4(1 l>y 911) October or serve 24 hours' in gaol.
