A YOUNG WOMAN'S LAPSE
(Bl TBUJ6RA?!!.—PREBS ASSOCIATION.)
DUNEDIN, This Day.
A young woman who arrived at Dunedin on Saturday morning with her mother on a visit to relatives was evidently not well, and on the way to her destination she left a suit case at a shop. On ■arriving at their destination it was discovered that the girl was very ill, and a doctor was called.. An examination disclosed the fact that the girl had been recently confined. This led to enquiries by detectives, resulting in the discovery of the body of a newly-born child in the suitcase at the shop. A post mortem examination was held yesterday, and an inquest will be opened this afternoon; The girl's condition was such that her removal to a hospital was necessary.
