" LONDON, 22nd September. Sliver has reached the highest point since 3878, and there are no signs of -weakness. The Chinese are paying large premiums at San Francisco, -while America Is buying for subsidiary coinage in a hardening market. WAIHI GRAND JUNCTION CRUSHING. - The Walhl Grand Junction Gold Company, ttd., during the period ended Bth September last, crushed and treated 9800 tons of ore for a return of bullion valued at £17,026 6s 2d. Compared with the return for the corresponding period of last year, when 0610 tons yielded £18 087 12s Bd, this shows a decrease of £1061 7s 6d.
