The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd,, report having held their fortnightly sale at the Upper Hutt Yards on Thursday, and submitted a largo yarding of cattle to a fair attendance, and sold everything at satisfactory rates. They quote: —Forward heifers £9 15s, store cows £6 12s 6d to £6 18s, store heifers £6 18s, yearling steers £6 Bs, yearling heifers £4 17s 6d, weaner calves £2 12s 6d to £3 7s 6d, weaner bulls £3 4s 6d, 18-month steers (mixed colours) £7 3s, springing heifers (Bmall) £8, £8 15s to £8 17s; cows, with calves, £7 15s. , The company also report that at their Te Horo sale they submitted a large yarding of both sheep and cattle to a fair attendance and sold practically the whole at satisfactory prices. They quote : —Good woolly hoggets 30s 2d to 31s Id, medium hoggets 26s to 27s 6d, b.f. hoggets 21s, mixed age ewes.with lambs 34s 7d, prime .fat ewes 41s 6d, fat ewes 37s 9d, mixed weavers £3 4s to £4 11s, yearling heifers £4, yearling bulls £5, yearling steers £5 19s, mixed yearlings £4 15s to £5 10s, 18 months Jersey bulls to £6 15s, cows with calves £9, 6-year grade Shorthorn bull £23 10s, store cows £7 2s to £7 6s, forward heifers £7 19s to £8 15s, forward cows £9 16s to £10 ss, fat cows £12 Is, £12.3s to £13 9s, springing cows to £13, springing heifers £8 15s to £10 Is.
