QUEEN'S THEATRE.
"If My Country Should Call" -was presented ait the Queen's Theatre for the first time to-day, with the popular star, Miss Dorothy Phillips, in the leading role. It is a first-class melodrama, m five reels, filled with action, which leaves a dear impression .on the mind. The plot turns on the question: "Should a mother do all she can to prevent her son from going to war?" and, after many exciting scenes, the mother arrives at the conclusion that her son shall be a soldier,'and the play ends in a happy manner. In addition to the star subject the programme contains two clever onereel dramas, "The Emerald Pin" and "Behind; Life's Stage," two laaighaible comedies, "Clever Mrs. Carter" and "I'm Your Husband," and a Topical Gazette, including many scenes taken in the firing-line.
