VEGETABLE AND FRUITGROWERS
The annual meeting of the Wellington Vegetable and Fruitgrowers' Association; (Incorporated) was held at the Taita School on. Friday, when there was a largo attendance of members. The association has been formed to watch the interests of fruit and vegetable, growers generally, and the first year of ite existence, undisclosed by the report and balance-sheet, showed a very satisfactory state of affairs. The finances are in a healthy /condition, "and the membership steadily, increasing. A number of new, members were elected at the meeting. The report and balance-sheet were adopted, and officers for the ensuing .yeai? elected as follow : President, Mr. F. S. Hewer; vice-president, Mt. C. W. Howard,- secretary and treasurer, Mir. J. Scholes; executive, Messrs. A. Rumgay, F. Bertelson, T. R. Foster, J. Liddle, J. Pescini, A. Tillbury, V. Pemberton. Mr. G. F. Judd was re-elected auditor.
