SUKIIOMLINOFF TRIAL
UTILISED BY GERMAN CHANCELLOR. (REUTERS TELEGRAM.) AMSTERDAM, sth September. Dr. Michaelis (the German Imperial Chancellor) has issued a statement ill which he maintains that certain revela--tions at the trial of Sukhomlinoff (Russian ex-Minister of War) support Germany's contention that Germany was not responsible for the war. Dr. Michaelis say's: "Tho Tsai' cancelled the Russian 1 mobilisation, but this order was thwarted, among others, by M. Sazanoff, the then Foreign Minister." Dr. Michaelis asks: "Who is behind these pro-war criminals? Aggressive pfans against Germany had long been prepared by influential politicians in France, England, and Russia, including Sukhomlinoff.
