Deserter, civilian, professional thief a-nd cheat, can go to a. rag-and-bono, dealer's and buy second-hand military: clothing. Men home from Gibraltar and other oversea stations ■ marvel at the sight. "We have to Teturn everything, no matter how ruinous its condition—to .be pulped,' though the tilings would ;be'useful to make clothes for tho kiddies," they sky.' Why should not it bo forbidden to sell secondhand uniforms in shops at home?—^..question that has been asked tamo ihm once in this column.
