PRIMARY SCHOOLS TOURNEY

Palmerston North is to be the gathering place of representative teams of Primary School Rugby players from Wellington, Wairarapa, and Wanganui. Commencing on Saturday next, a series of games between these teams and Manawatu representatives will be played. The tourney will last nearly a week. An enjoyable time is promised the visitors. The following arrangements have been made by the officials:—Friday, 31st August : Teams arrive and are billeted. Saturday : 11.30 a.m., official reception and luncheon; 1.45 p.m., Wellington plays Wanganui; 3.15 p.m., jjlanawatu v. Wairarapa, Monday : 9 a.m., Post Office, trip to Tiritea; 1.45 p.m., Wellington v. Wairarapa; 3.15, Manawatu v. Wanganui. Tuesday : 7 a.m., railway station, trip to Mr. Seifart's flaxmill, Miranui; 7.45 p.m., pictures, Kosy Theatre. Wednesday : 1.45 p.m., Wanganui v. Wairarapa; 3.15, Wellington v. Manawatu. Thursday, 7 a.m., railway station, trip to Mr. E. Short's stud farm, Feilding. Friday : Teams leave for home.

The following boys from Wellington schools will make the trip : —Standidge, Miller, and Binning (Terrace); Harris and Dempster (Mount Cook); Boult and Barker (Berhampore); Jeffett (South Wellington); Sutton, Couzens, Graham, and Edginton (Maranui); Mahoney, O'Hagan,. and David (Mariet); M'Kay, Reid, and Pudney (Newtown) ; Baumber (East Hutt); and Brown (Hutt District High School).
