KILBIRNIE WAR MEMORIAL PAIR

The residents of Kilbirnie have inaugurated a scheme to commemorate the nemes of ex-pupils and teachers of that school who have last their lives in the war, by erecting a war memorial tablet and fence. To help raise funds a bottle rally was recently made/ resulting in over £40 being netted, and to-morrow afternoon at 3 o'clock a two-days' fair and bazaar will be commenced. The opening ceremony will be performed by Dr. A. K. Newman, iU.I 1., Mr. P. Luke, C.M.U., and the Hon. J. G. W. Aitkeu. Special decorations and electrical effects have been carried, out. The Allies' Stella will have a great selection of goods for disposal, and thore will ba side-shows, a -fairy bower, and other attractions.. .
