PARAMOUNT THEATRE.

"The Bottle Imp" was shown at the Paramount Theatre for the final occasion last night. To-day a new propramme will be introduced, presenting Jack Pickford in "The Dummy." The story is an enthralling _pne, baeed upon the contest between Spider, head of a notorious gang of kidnappers, and Babbings, a detective, who is assisted by Barney, a clever youth who plays the part of a deaf and dumb boy. A little girl has been stolen from her parents, and Babbings has been employed to find her. He traces the gang, but is at a loss as to how he shall deal with them. In this emergency Barney puts in his appearance, and arranges that he shall pretend to be the deaf and dumb son of wealthy parents, so that he may be kidnapped by Spider. The kidnappers fall into the trap, and then ensues an exciting chase between the gang, witli "The Dummy" in their possession, and Babbings, to whom the boy is secretly communicating 'their movements. Eventually the detective and "The Dummy" are the winners. Among other pictures on the programme are "The Travelogue" and comedy and cartoon numbera.
