NINETEEN-YEAR-OLDS.
Speaking on the subject of the: suggested calling up of nineteen-year-old boys, Mr. J. Vigor Brown waxed indignant in the House of Representatives last nig.ht. The rumour had, he said, been pnt out as a feeler, but when tha Government found that it was not to the public taste The Post was allowed to publish, unofficially, the statement that the scheme was not to be gone on with. If, he said, the Tumour was untrue, why did not the Government contradict it at once, instead of waiting for a, fortnight or so and causing grave anxiety to very many people?
