PORTUGUESE TAKEN PRISONER
ACTIVITY ON FRENCH LINE.

LONDON, loth August,Admiralty, per Wireless' Press.— A German official report states: Strong Allied enemy attacks in the western theatre are being prepared. Wo took prisoner a latrge number of Portuguese at Neuve Ohapelle. Tho French twice unsuccessfully attacked southward of Nauroy. There is increased artillery action at the Aisne front, in Western Champagne, and northward of Verdun.
The French have brought strong forces to Verdun,' especially artillery. We repulsed attacks at; Flirey.
