The First Military Service Board, consisting of Messrs. .D.'.G. A T Cooper,,. S.M. (chairman), D. : McLaren,' aiid W. Perry, considered further applications for exemption yesterday afternoon. Captain. Walker was the military representative. Appeals by the Amalgamated Wireless (Australasia, Ltd.) on behalf .of John Aioiysius Heavey and. Leonard Vincent Sutton, radio operators, were adjourned sine die, the Reservists to remain in their present employment. An appeal by Randall Feigns M'Kay, telegraphist and wireless operator, Wellington, was lodged on the ground that he was not a, Reservist. Appellant informed the board that he was a member of the Expeditionary Force which went to Saimoa, and had been discharged upon the termination of ' his service Captain Walker stated that appellant ■was still a Reservist. Tho appeal was adjourned- until the first sitting after let 'August; to ..enable M'Kay to obtain a, fresh discharge from the forces ..-'-■■
